Nadine Akkerman

Nadine studied English Language and Literature at the Vrije Universiteit in Amsterdam from 1996 to 2001. She has published articles in The Ben Jonson Journal and Early Modern Literary Studies. In November 2008 she was awarded her PhD 'summa cum laude' (with distinction) for a dissertation entitled, "The Letters of Elizabeth Stuart, Electress Palatine of the Rhine, and Queen of Bohemia: A Scholarly Edition of the Years 1632-42". Besides a fully annotated edition of the years 1632-42, her dissertation includes a census of all the letters, either to or by the Queen of Bohemia, many of which are dispersed in archives across the world and mostly unpublished. Nadine was a CELL Visiting Scholar and is now a CELL Associate.
