Everyone at CELL was heartbroken by the death of our founding director, beloved friend, and constant inspiration Professor Lisa Jardine, on 25th October 2015. Lisa was the very image of the perfect scholar and the office we all share is empty without her.
Lisa set up the Centre for Editing Lives and Letters in order to marry traditional humanist research of the very highest standard, something she herself excelled at, with the latest digital technologies. We continue to do so, and try in our own small way to carry on her legacy.
