Biography: 

Katie Bank is a doctoral student at Royal Holloway University of London, focusing on musical-textual relationships and musical-intellectual history in early-seventeenth century English secular vocal music. She has an undergraduate degree in History and Music from Bowdoin College and an MMus (pass with distinction) from King’s College London in Musicology. She has been supervised by Dr Helen Deeming (Royal Holloway) and Prof Lisa Jardine (UCL). Katie recently worked as a co-founder of an AHRC-funded project Renaissance Art and Music, which examined and provided training for interdisciplinary approaches in working with the two art forms. This project ran in conjunction with events at The Courtauld Institute and The Courtauld Gallery. Katie is an avid choral singer and performs regularly in London and abroad.
