Biography: 

Alison Wiggins is a Lecturer in English Language at the University of Glasgow. Her research and teaching interests include Middle English and Renaissance language and literature, manuscript studies, textual criticism, and humanities computing. As well as publishing on many aspects of Middle English romance manuscripts, Dr Wiggins directed the Letters of William Herle Project at CELL and co-edited the Auchinleck Manuscript for the National Library of Scotland. Her current research projects include a study of Renaissance Chaucer, for which she was awarded a short-term fellowship at the Folger Shakespeare Library in 2005. She is also involved in a project with colleagues in the English Language Department to track the development of Renaissance English.
