We here at CELL are heartbroken by the recent death of our founding director, beloved friend, and constant inspiration Professor Lisa Jardine. Lisa was the very image of the perfect scholar and it is hard to imagine the office we all share without her.
Lisa set up the Centre in order to marry traditional humanist research of the very highest standard, something she herself excelled at, with the latest digital technologies. We will continue to do so, and to continue to support our PhD students, to look forward to the (re)launch of our MA degree in 2016, and to try in our own small way to carry on her legacy.
