CELL's MA is now open for applications

reading a manuscript in an archive

CELL is delighted to announce that our MA in Editing Lives and Letters is now open for applications.  The programme uniquely combines the technical skills of archival research and the most up-to-date strategies and techniques for online data organisation and presentation.

Students are taught palaeography and textual bibliography in depth, and trained to find their way around unfamiliar and uncatalogued resources. In addition to these ‘traditional’ skills, they are introduced to databases and XML by technical experts, and prepared for transferring the ‘obscure’ resources excavated from libraries and archives into an accessible form online, where they and other scholars can explore them.
