A CELL call for papers: RSA Boston 2016

CELL invites proposals for papers to be given at the 2016 annual conference of the Renaissance Society of America (RSA), to be held in Boston, Massachusetts, 31 March—2 April 2016.

We’re looking to promote the finest new work from emerging scholars and would particularly welcome proposals from current PhD students and those who have received their doctorates within the last year. We would also consider proposals for a panel of three papers. Please note the RSA's requirement that at least one of the presenters ought already to hold the PhD degree.

All proposals should relate - in some supple manner - to CELL’s established research interests in archival studies and book history or our longstanding interest in digital methodologies.

Please send proposals of around 150 words and a one-page CV to m.symonds@ucl.ac.uk. Panel proposals should further include a brief description of how the panel forms a coherent whole, as well as individual paper proposals and CVs. More general initial enquiries are also welcome. Please include “RSA2016” in the subject line of the email.

The deadline for receipt of proposals is Friday, 29 May.

We look forward to hearing from you!
