CELL needs a Research Assistant!

The postholder will be required to transcribe and translate marginal annotations from digital facsimiles of early modern books. The post is part-time (2.5 days/week) and is funded for one year in the first instance.

The postholder should have knowledge of the history and culture of late sixteenth-century Europe and current digital research environments, as well as a high level of proficiency in early modern palaeography. The postholder will be expected to have a post graduate degree in a relevant subject area, and will ideally have language skills, including a modern language and Latin.
