Mr Smethwick was encouraged to make further
progresse in his Glasses of a conical figure, he hauing
lately made . . . a smal obiect-glasse of tht section
fit
for a glasse ^ /tube/ of 2. inches.

Dr King brought in the artificial figure made of plaister
of Paris, of the sh. . natural Calculus of the Bladder, weighing
32. ounces, taken out of the body of Mr Niclas Byfield:
concerning wch he was de promised to bri giue in the
whole history.

This artificial stone was committed to Mr Hooks care
for the repository.

Experimts for next day: 1. The ^ /new/ watch aboue mention'd.
2. A picture in the Dark darkned Box. 3. weigh Descent of
Bodies ^ /in water/ 4. Scales for weighing bodies in ^ /air and/ water.

The Curator produced again his new ^ /pocket/ watch, wch he affirmed to
be equipellent to a Pendulum. He The equality of its motion
being tryed, and not found to answering expectation, it was orde,
red to be perfected against the next meeting, and then tryed again.

There was tryed the comparatiue weight of ^ /hammered/ Lead to water
The Lead weighed in the Air one ounce and three grains; in water,
seven /drams/ eights of an ounce /and and . ..3/4/ 24 3/4 grams; the difference being
35 1/4 grams by wch it appears, tht Lead is to water as 13 2/3 to
one, or as 41 to 3.

It was order'd, tht several Bodies should be prepared against the,
weight next day, and amongst thm some metallin ones, both hammerd
and cast, and of many different figures to be weighed in wa Air
and water, both common and distilled. And tht thm ^ /the/ Experimts
tht th should be made at home, and when ready, shew'd to the
society, to be attested by the whole Body

Mr Smethwth and Mr Collins were call'd upon for what they
promised to bring in concerning th Expts of this kind made by others.
They promised to giue it in as soon as they could.
