mr. Hook was orderd to repeat the expt. of making a Little glasse bubble swim in
the air, by condensing the air circumambient & to bring in an account thereof
in writing Item to try the Expt. of putting some springs wth a weight both
in the Rarifying and condensing to see wt force the differing air hath
vpon them. Item to giue in writing the expt. of weighing air in the con

The same Related that he had taken a fair peice of Ice and hauing
shaped it into a Lens, had found that though it did cast the figure
of the sun vpon his hand, yet yeald noe heat that was sensible.
He was desired to try wth it when occasion formeth in frosty weather
a Lenticular glasse whether It will yeald any heat in such a season

It was orderd that Dr Godderd. Dr whistler. mr Ball & mr. Hooke should prepare for

in Virginia & Dr. Stubbs in Iamaica should be desired to make the said Obser

a ball in water & to conuey into it a continuall stream of air. 2 to try the strength
of seuerall kinds of wood as to bending toughnesse &c. and to break them seuerall
ways. both longwise & croswise. 3ly. to try springs both in the Rarifying & com
pressing Engine. [Diuing to be considerd]. the President mouing it to the Company
that the business of Diuing might be taken into consideration as a thing that
would be at this time especially, very acceptable if it could be reduced to practise
It was orderd that his Lds: himself Sr. R moray Sr. W Petty Dr. wilkins Dr. Godderd mr
oldenburg & mr. Hooke should be a comitee for that purpose & meet at the Ld
Brounkers house on Saturday next about 10 of the clock & make a Report on
wensday next.
