nou. 18. 63. RH shewd the company his module of the whale shooting engine some objections being made
against it it was orderd tht Dr wilkins Dr wallis & mr Hooke should meet together on tuesday next to consider of it
the same was put in mind to bring in his additions to P R. instrument of perspectiue wth. a full description thereof
the same was orderd to make a pastbord module of his engine wth one wheel to trauaile in wth. ease & speed. also of his other
engine to travell ouer Land & water by walking in it after the fashion of the wheel of a crane .
nou. 25. RH brought in an account of his addition to PR perspectiue engine. orderd such an engine should be made for RS
RH told that he had alterd his thought about the whale engine. proposing now a crosebow made of whale bone. twas objected what
bones would Loose their spring by wet. when RH suggested varnish. others that a Steel bow of seuerall thin ones tind would doe
better. RH Desird to consider further thereof.    RH produced his engine to try powder by weight but being imperfect
by the non continuance of the first Impulse he offerd to compleat it by the addition of a Rammer. RH shewd the microsco
picall obs: of Silkwormes eggs. Expts. for next Day PR powder tryer. 2 wind gun. 3 compressing engine. De
Dec. 2. DC presented 50ll. Sr. Ch: Wrens weather Clock produced. RH. bespoke PR perspectiue of Thomson. Boyle suggested
degrees of cold beyond freezing. [which he had fro RH] PR powder. mr Hoskins. when water Rises between alhallontide
  & michaelmas springs neuer fail
Dec 9. Dr. wrens weatherclock read. RH propounded additions. 1 1st. seald thermometer. RH expt. of weight like glasse bubbles in the
compressing engine made wth successe & he orderd to bring in an account. Dr. wilk suggested Deers hair tubulous. RH orderd
desired to examine deers hair & mr Claiton promisd east India deers hair. Pnewmatick engine from Ld Brounkers. RH to consi
der farther of whale engine. a Locust tree bow not Loosing spring in 6 monthes mr Hill.
Dec 16. RH. paper of weighing glass bubbles in condensing engine read & Registred.
Dec 23. RH. to examine Dr. Ents Lignum fossile in microscope. produced new perspectiue engine wth. his own additions to
cast embost things into perspectiue as well as platformes: but two rulers to be put insteed of two threeds.
gun barrell to condensing engine microscopicall Deers hair produced. Dr. wren Dr. Godderd & RH. curators of
monconys engine way of weighing bodys
Dec 30. RH. suggested a standerd of cold by the degree that freezeth Distilld water. RH. produced a little engine to make the
ascent & Descent of in glasse canes more discernable to produce it next day
Ian. 6. 63. expt of shooting wth. windgun applyd to compressing engine tryd made dint in boord able to kill a
man at 20 yards. RH to bring in an account. RH. to prepare standerd for cold. to weigh full & exhau
sted Receiuer. & to try to raise bubbles by condensing air. Pascalls treatise of Hidrostaticks.

Grasse Ropes

RH. to prepare wheel wth hollow cameras. bettnius.
Ian. 13/20/27. RH. to Repeat the Expt of Bubbles swimming in condensd air. & to try the expt. of putting some springs
wth. a weight both in the Rarifying & condensing engine to see wt. force the Differing air hath vpon them
Feb: 3. RH. account of the weight of the air in a large Rr. of 119 English wine pints and of the proportion of the
weight of the Air to the weight of the water was Read. RH was orderd to make Expts. of compressing -
water & glasse. he also mentiond that he had exposed springs to the free air. But that not wthstanding
a considerable alteration in the air he had not found any alteration in the springs. mr. Boyle sugges
ted that a spring might be bent to a certaine degree and putt into a cylindricall glasse wth Ice & snow
about it to see wt. alteration would be wrought vpon the Spring. RH. was orderd to try springs wth
appendent weights both in the Rarifying & compressing engine to see wt. effects the Rarefaction & condensation
of the air hath vpon them. He related to haue shaped ice into a Lens but found noe heat from the sun
nor noe figure of the sunn. A Discourse of R Boyles foysted in. vnjustly.
Feb: 10 RH repeatd expt of weighing air. Godderd Ball Whistler Hooke to prepare for obseruing in

in the Rarifying & condensing engine
Feb: 17 Expt. of supplying air by a bell vnder water by buckets was tryd wth successe. RH orderd to get a module of his
bag for a Diuers respiration wch. he is to supply from the bell or tubb. RH proposed deep spectacles to see
vnder water. S R moray - mentiond that Zulichem desired to know the size of tubes where Remains suspended. .
march 2d RH tryd Expt. of birds in comon Rarifyd & condensd air. RH produced bellows for vsing air vnderwater
and propounded a better & safer way. by two boxes & two cylinders &c.
