Dr. King shewed a pair of microscopes conueniently contriued
to screw together which he affirmed would doe as well as any
larger microscope

Dr. Gale was Desired . . . . that he would in his Letter to mor Justel
Desire to be informed as much as might be of wt. was known
concerning the effects of the poison soe much spoken of in
France

mr. Hill Gaue some account of the Poysoning that was soe
much practised in Rome & Italy in the year 1656.

Mr Henshaw added that the Report of that Italian poyson
was that it was not Discernable by smell or tast when it
was mixt either wth. meat or drink. that it was sayd to
be some preparation of Lettice, that the symptomes of
it were that the person soon after taking it Grew drowsy
after Sleeping he awaked wth. a shiuering like an ague wth
a great Deiection of Spirits. if he were Let blood he Dyed
presently if he took cordialls he fell into a high burning
feauer that carryd him off in 2 or 3 days. That the
antidote against this poyson was ^ /viniger or/ Iuice of Lemmon
Dr. Croon mentioned that the Grand Duke of Florence being
sent to by the King to know wt. that Poyson was which was
Reputed soe very mortall Returnd a bottle of the fetid
oyle of Tobacco & sayd that he knew none greater than
that

mr. Perkins Gaue some account of some obseruations
he had made about the magneticall needles variation
of wch we expect a more full account the next Day
