The President Sr. Joseph Williamson tooke the chair
The minutes of the 12th. were Read, wherein mention being made
of Mr Hides Letter. It was desired that Dr. Gale would take this oppor
tunity to write to Dr Hide vpon the matter conteind therein and
tht. a coppy should be made of the Letter & there Referred to Dr Charlton

vpon the mention of Mr. Leuwenhoeks Diploma it was orderd that a Siluer
box should be forthwith prouided and that the Societys arms should
be ingrauen on it.

The President Desiring to see the things presentd the Last day by mr
Hauton, they were bought in and Distributed, One to each member
present. And Mr. Hunt was orderd to pait vpon the frame of the
Paine of Glasse the Doner (mr Morgan)'s name.

mr Hooke Read an account of some Experiments made wth on
munday Last vpon a mixture of Siluer & copper Lead, the
wch. Account was orderd to be enterd in the Register booke
And the Experiments to be tryd vpon munday next in the after
noon were appointed. vizt. 1st. wth. Siluer & Gold. 2dly wth
Siluer & copper & 3dly wth Brasse & Lead. the time to begin
was to be 3 of the Clock.

Mr. Packer Gaue an account of the way of conuerting Lead into
Litharge by skumming the melted Lead wth. a skummer.
The Glasse that Had been made out of the Lead boyled out of the
Siluer was shewn and the weight of it giuen, compared both
to Lead, Common Glasse, water &c. which is inserted in theformer account.

Mr Henshaw gaue an account of the way of making putty of
tin & Lead calcined

Two bookes brought by mr Aubery from mr Williams. were presen
ted to the Society. they were sent by John Bruinstein M.D second
Physitian to their Highnesses the Prince & Princesse of Orange, &
to him were sent by mr I: Swammerdam for this purpose as
appeard by a note inclosed

Dr. Gale was Desired to addresse Dr. Bruinstein vpon this occasion

mr Pappin shewd an Expt. wth. the exhausting engine, the account whereof
he Deliuerd to the president which was to be registred

Dr. Croon Related that that the Fetid phlegm remaining after the spt of Canary
had been extracted by Distillation, could not be sweetned by anything
soe well as by powring on it fresh Canary which did it immediatly.
