It was Desired that tryalls should be made between this & the
next meeting wth. mixtures of tin & copper tin & siluer, siluer
& Lead, & silver & copper, And that the times of making some
of them should be on monday next at 3 in the afternoon
and that any of the Society the pleasd Might be present
Mr. Hooke produced a Letter which he had this afternoon Receiued from
Mr Iustell though it bore Date Dec 23 . 79. was Read by the pre
sident and Dr. Gale was Desired to send an answer to It and
to send Directions to him how to conuey his Letters.

Vpon this It was Discoursd what kind of Information Dr. Gale
should send to the correspondents, and It was resolued he should
Receiue Directions at the meeting.
The two secretarys to haue keys of the presse in wch. the bookes
and Papers of the society are kept and none els.

Mr Hooke shewd an Indian Fig or Prickly pare from
Bermoodas which was opened and the Deep red Iuice thereof
tasted by seuerall that were present

Mr Pappin shewd an Expt. in the exhausting engine, whereby
he affirmed that a liquor inclosed in the exhausted Receiuers.
Extracted a tincture from Brazile /red/ wood much sooner
& stronger than from /the same liquor in/ another glass in the open air would
doe in the same time.

The society adjourned it being seauen of Clock.
