From St George Ashe to the Secretaries of the Royal Society, 27th April 1686

St George Ashe has reported the contents of a letter from the Royal Society of 27th March to the Dublin Society and in return
sends information about the recent activities. These covered:
- a demonstration of the 2nd and 5th books of Euclid, using the method of Dr Pell in his Alegbra;
- the sundial (telescopic ?) designed by William Molyneux, which he was intending to publish shortly;
- Dr Mullen's experiments on dogs;
- a young female mathematical prodigy of George Tollet's, a full account of whose testing by the society
was to be transmitted separately;
- a demonstration of Robert Hooke's level, which William Molyneux had investigated and demonstrated to the society;
- an account of 2 or 3 'monstrous productions' presented to the society were delayed to a subsequent communication.
In a postscript Ashe sent his and Molyneux's thanks for their admission to the Royal Society.
