These pages present the results of the Early Letters of the Royal Society pilot project, initiated by an informal collaboration between CELL, the Royal Society and the Newton Project. It includes only a few of the many letters in the collection, but gives an impression of its richness and variety.
The purpose of this pilot was explore the possibilities for on-line publication of this material and to garner support for the project. The design and navigation were kept intentionally simple.
