R. honorable L. I am presently arryved from the parts of beyond the seas, having
browght your L .2. lres from the L. Generall, & on packett from that worthy Knight Sir
Thomas Cecill, with sondry other lres, to be delyverd yow, by mi sellf, & to repporte
by mowthe the state of things how they stand there, Butt havyng

Tossed att seas with contrary wyndes, with excedyng stormes, & with incredible
lightnyng & Thonders, I have nott slept synce wensday att night, landyng yester
evenyng late abowtt x. of the clock att dover ‡

I am truly mi L. so weryed, as nether my
body nor mynde can well do their office, ytt may plese your L. therfore, to bere with
me till tomorow, att whatt tyme I shalbe redy in attendyng uppon yow, to satisfye &
discharge to my skyll, any knowlege & charge towching those matters./
I have 2. lres
allso from the sayd L. Generall to her majestie & therwith a memoriall for her in
wryteng lykewise His L. hath wrytten to mi Lords of her majesties Cowncell, to the L.
Admirall, To master vicechamberlayne, master Secretorye &c./ menyng after that I
have presented mi sellf to your L. to reppayre Imedyately to the Cowrte, & so verey
humbly comendyng mi dutye to your good L. I do take mi leve/ Temple Barre, in haste
