this berer your L. doth know, ever loved him of all men of thys country byrth, lett him
tell yow what he thinks of him and whether ever man hath sought a man as I have
paul Buis even for the Abyllyty I found in him above all men. but except he may

thinks hir majestie shold some what better truste me having so great a Charge as I have
to think me of more judgement than to loose such a man whome my self hath made
Choyce of all others here & whose purss hath payd for yt ijC li thick to him alone, to
make him surer yf good turns wold do yt having bestowed more offyces & benyfyts
on him than uppon any man ells here /

[fol. 198v] My good L. I may not forgett to comend to your good favor this pore berer who hath
taken great travell in this voyage to Emden wherin he hath verey well used him self.
but there was no end of these matters made before saturday last. hit ys tyme he had
some stay, and I know he hath long lovyd your L. for my owne parte I must say he
hath byn carefull to do me all servyce for hir majestie that he could for his havior.
