[fol. 139r] To the end that your honor may beholld, that I have nott wrytten to yow without fowndacion yn mi former lre of the mutenye that was among our men, I do send your honor herewith Coronell Morgans lre towching the same, prayeng yow that it might plese yow to retorne me the sayd lre sealed by your next, to the ende that I may answere ani cavyllacion that may be objected to me, yf speche sholld com therof, for as I am desirows to do good offics among theme, so of the other syde, there Rayges suche ambycyon & envye, as it is hard to admonissh theme to that which the honor of our contry, & their service Reqwyres.
