[fol. 106r] Havyng this mornyng R. honorable wrytten this lre ynclosed to my L. of Lecester, which conteynes matter of the State of Owdenarde, [ deleted: newer] newer than I have certeffied your honor of, & havyng no lesyre to wryte a partycler lre therof to yow, havyng non ayde butt mi sellf, ytt may plese yow to take yn good parte to peruse the sayd lre & that don to seall it up with hard waxe, & to delyver ytt to this berer mi servant, for mi sayd L. of Lecester. Yf I had a yong honeste fellow to copye thyngs, I cowd send your honor sondrye wrytengs worthye your perusyng, & yett be hable to yntertayne the partye that sholld wryte to his contentment & comodity, beyng honest & dylygent, wherwith takyng mi leve in haste, from Andwerpe this sondaye mornyng, the first of Julye. 1582/ Your honors most humblye with his harte & servyce.
