[fol. 26r] I have presumed to wryte unto your honor, sondry lres synce mi abode here beyng very lothe to becom Tedyows to yow, where mi yntent was & is to do yow ani service I can, prayeng humblye therfore your honor, to vowchesave me .3. lynes agayn [ Marginalia (by Herle): wherby I may understand] whither mi sayd lres be com to your hands, & whatt yow be ynclyned to do in so charitable an acte, as I have so often comended to your good favor, towching the cawse that suspends betwen master Wade & me, beyng lothe trulye to troble yow, speciallye with ymportunitye, whom I esteme to be mi good patron & frynd, as I never deserved. other wise att your hands, whattsoever mighte have byn conseved of me otherwise, which I comend to your own wise judgement, & to the tryall of mi actyons, that shalbe [ deleted: all wayes] prompt to make proof of mi dutye & affectyon borne yow./ And this is all that I have to move your goodnes yn, savyng that I crave your good cowntenance here, which shalbe so bestowed, as bothe your honor & service shall Receve contentment therby./

Here is a poore man P. Bizurro, that wrytes a lre to your honor, & humblye desyres, yf your weyghtye afayres may so permytt, that ye will vowchesave hym an answer./

Yesterday the ordynance that is com from Turney to Owdenard, is unbarcked & was to be placed this daye in the Trenches, The P. of Parma beyng there in person./ They have butt ij placs to batter by land, & that is ij gates, which have ij strong Bullwarks before theme. And yf they do mene to have a Battrye by Monte, where in dede the wall is Lowe & weke, they may then within the Towne discharge somuche water downwards, as that the Ryver shalbe made shallow, unhable to bere their canon, & yf the medow be discoverd therewith, yett can the ordynance nott be planted of that syde./ Monsieur promiseth that his forcs shalbe here by the 25. of the next moneth. The towne is of good corayge & well provyded of vyttayll & munityon for a long tyme./

Prospero Colona is loked for as generall for the K. of Spayne over all the forcs that com owtt of Italye. The Cowntt of arnebergh hath charge of other [ deleted: ff] Trowpes, And the Dukes of Bronswyck & Lowenbergh ar expected for the sayd K. service./
