Master Herle So well the berer hereof hathe divers tymes bene in hand with me to
entreate yow be to good unto him, and as I perceve by his owne speeche it is a thinge
superfluous, and yet nevertheles for the satisfienge of his desire I praie yow contynue
your good will towards him, and the rather at my request I thincke the man to be verie
honest, and therfore yow maye be the more bolde to comende him if oportunytie serve./
I have knowen him famylyarlie these sixe or seven yeres, and by all that tyme have
not knowen or harde any thinge dishonest in him and thus muche I thought
convenyent to wryte unto yow in his behalf wherof I pray yow take some care for his
furtherance And if I maie stande yow in steade I will be redie to gratyfie yow to the
uttermoost of my power. And thus I comytt yow to the trycon of the Almightie from the
Temple Inne. this xx
