[fol. 36r] I beseke the highe goodnes of God, R. h. L. to render yow mercy & grace for the charitable favor it pleseth yow to shew me: which honorable disposityon of yowres, is propper to the vertew, wherof ye be worthily reputed, wheresoever in the worlld your name is, wherunto I wisshe perpetually that service & comendacion that is dew, attendyng humbly th'opportunitye of your honorable mediacion with her majestie. beyng att the Last caste, yf her present dispatche be nott vowchesaved, ether by releeff [ Marginalia (by Herle): at home] or by her graciows leve abrode, to procure myne owne mayntenance, uppon which 2. poynts mi poore estate consistes, nether of theme beyng hable to suffer delaye, which I recomend (next God) to your only consyderacion & wisdom./

Herewith I wolld humbly gyve your L. thancks for your goodnes towards mi kynsman sir Thomas morgan, a good servant that hath is hable to deserve well of her majestie & the State, on of the doers nott of the speakers & most devoted to your L. in duty & thanckfullnes, Besekyng yow the ^rather^ att mi lowly reqwest, to contynew & increse your favor & care had of him, that it may appere, I have (as the poore wydow) powred my prayers for him./

I do allso present som service to your L. in particuler, which is that the howse & Tenements, conteyned within the lre inclosed, may be recoverd, as frawdulently withdrawen from her majestie./ wherof your L. shall have further instructions. ytt is very well seated, open ayre on the backsyde, & fytt for your L. to dispose of, wherunto there be a 40. gardens adjoyneng, the state of which, shalbe recoverd good chepe, as by mi overture, your [1 word expunged] L. shalbe well instructed. wherewith I very humbly take mi leve, oppressed with melancholy & indisposityon. the 25. of marche. 1588.
