[fol. 147r] may it plese yow R. honorable L. to be humblye advertised, that master Hayes on of the Awditors of the duchye is this daye decessed, the gyffte of whose office is meerley in her majestie, without ani consent to be had of the Chancellor of the sayd duchye. Wherfore I am verey humbly to crave your honorable favor to her majestie that yf she be nott disposed to bestowe uppon me the Clerckship of the duchye, I answering her respectivelye suche dett as Tusser owght her, that she wilbe plesed att your mediation to gyve me this Awditorship, for som staye of lyveng, & I will by Gods leve, so discharge the Rowne, as shalbe for her majesties service, & mi poore credite, beyng dryven to ymportune her for som whatt, even to kepe brethe from falling under mi burden. which most humblye & confydentlye I comend to your favor & ayde, wherunto (next God) I refferre mi sellf, & so do humblye take mi leve.
