[fol. 68r] I have don R. honorable to the full, assmuche as your instructyons ymported, delyverd me by master Candisshe, & this daye shall I Receve answer to the same, wherfore ytt shalbe necessary, that ye furthwith dyrect me whatt I shall say towching the xm li a moneth, to be payd her majestie & on mli monethly to him sellf, for I wrytt that a personaige of Awthority (as in deed it is trew) had broken with me heryn, under the seall of confessyon, & that the matter sholld passe scylently bettwen theme ^ij nottwithstandyng^ for I wolld presume to know no further in the [ Marginalia (by Herle): same] [ deleted: matter./] So as I know that ether of polycye or inclynatyon, he will seke to understand the mistery it contynes, & that her majestie shalbe made acqwainted with the whole, wherfore I attend your present answer. for the partye I say of Awthority, that hath broken with me, shalbe he ^ whosoever^ that your honor, ether of the deputes or otherwise, shall appoint, to dele in the cawse, for no dowtt the other syde will desire to here him.

I have byn in hand with som frynds of myne, & those butt ij [ Marginalia (by Herle): only] , to have 40li uppon your honors Bond, who affirme wisely to me, that no man uppon the offer of your Bond dare lend ani, for fere of displesing yow, so as the offer of your Bond is a secrett Restraynt (as it semes to theme all) that they sholld nott be forward on that behallf, for your honor beyng most Liberall, ar yndiscretely pressed by many for money, towards whom it is necessary to use som Rempart, to avoyd others allso./ But yf your honor be inclyned to hellp me, as yow most honorably [ deleted: writt] signeffied to me, by your late lre of yowr own hand, ytt may plese you to write butt ij or iij lynes to master Alldery, master Allderman Osburn, master Bracye, master Campyon, or to ani Marchant in London whosoever, that he delyver me 40.li for 4. moneths, [fol. 68v] Taking mi Bond for the same, ytt shalbe ymedyately [ deleted: discharged] payd me, which favor I have had heretofore att your hands & discharged allwayes well (as becomes me) towards your honor, as this allso shalbe don uppon my Christianitye & Allegiance before the daye, by the highe will & Leve of him that Rules all. Wherfore mi necessity consydred & syckenes, & the tyme synce which I first moved your honor herof, drawyng towards viij weekes [ Marginalia (by Herle): Relyeng & trusting onlye & confydentlye in your goodnes./] I desire yow to Tender me, & to write your lre to whom [ deleted: shall] shall plese yow for my dispatche, which shalbe suche a favor as never ^to^ be unacknowleged, hoping to do yow som service shortly that shall make me worthyer your favor: And knowyng your worthynes besyde, I wolld most humbly intreatt to be Receved into your protectyon, whom I wolld do assyduall & faythfull service ^to^ duryng life, & your vertew sholld incoraige me to Redooble myne own forcs./
