mr. Henshaw present but the society sat not.
monr: Romer of the Accademy Royall of Paris was admitted to
be present. whilst Dr. Grew shewd some anatomicall Ob=
seruations. And Left the paper to be inscribed in the Iournall.

mr. Hooke gaue an account of his tryalls made wth the Phos
phorus of mr Slayer. that hauing exposd the same for seue
rall minutes to the Rayes of the moon at full and neer
the meridian he could not perceiue the Least appearance
of light though carryed into a very dark Room, And far
=ther that he was not able to find any effect of the
said light of the moon though cast vpon the said phos
phoros by the a large reflecting burning glasse which -
agreed wth the obseruations made of the same by mr
Henshaw./
The Experiment Designed to be shewd by mr. Hooke
being an Experiment of light to be showd by the Rayes
of the sun could not be shown by Reason that the
afternoon proued cloudy.
