Lifted higher & higher out of the water by spaces always
proportiond to the quantity of water that was conteind
in the Bucket. And when the Bucket was filld to
its Designed fulnesse It immediately emptyed it self
of the water, and the Cylinder plunged its self into
the water, and Raised it self to the p the Bucket to
place where it was againe to begin its Descent -

This contriuance here made vse of was Declared to be
very vsefull for making a New & vsefull Beam for Ex
=amining the weight of Bodys wthout any trouble of
Adiusting, the Rising of the cylinder immediatly shew
ing the . . . Determinate weight of any body putt into
the scale wthout any further Trouble -
