In the mean time mr. Horneck propounded Sr. Iames Langham for
a candidate

And mr. vice president Declared that the President had Disired that
mr. Kerckringius should also be propounded a candidate -

mr. Hook acquainted the Society that he had mett wth. a new Discourse
of Opticks newly published by Pere Cherubine containing Descriptions
of seuerall sorts of binocular telescopes & microscopes, and also the of
an instrument for taking the figure of things at a Distance by the help
of a telescope. he was orderd to the procure the same for the Society
Library.

mr. Henshaw vpon this occasion Presented the Society for their Library
two bookes the one Intitled Olaj Wormij Historia Maris
Noruagicj
The other: Simonis Paulj Epistola Paranetica ad Th: Bartholinaeum
both wch. were written on and Deliuerd to mr. Hunt to putt into the Library

After this the epitomy of six papers sent from Mr. Heuelius to the Secretary
of this Society was read. The first marked A was a letter about seuerall
particulars. the 2d marked B conteind an account of the occultation of by
the moon wch. he would haue obserued but the weather hindred -
C. was about the transit of through the sun vnobserud also. -
D. a catalogue of the Distances and positions of Saturn to the moon.
E a scheme or Draught of the same obserued through a 12. & a 20 /foot/ telescope
F. Further obseruations of the changes observed in . . . of the
starr in collo Ceti. continued to the 6th. of Decemb 1667. St. No.

Part also of a Letter from mr Swammerdam was read conteining a
relation of a Discouery he had made of a sort of snailes which were
viuiparous.
