fol.111r
May it please your good L. Having sent my L. Tresurer another lettre intercepted, I have heere inclosed a copie both of that, and of mine owne, knowing no other mater worth the writing to your L. From the Hage. March 4 1594. Your L. most humbly bounden Tho. Bodley.
Postscript: At the closing heerof I understoode the particular discourse of the late Conspiracie in Scotland, from CoronelStuart. I have also the same from the ligger Ambassador. Bothe report it a like, for as muche as doth concerne the confession of Bawirie. But the Coronel upon it doth exaggerat the mater, in soliciting the states for some present assistance, as if the K. for his securitie had never more neede: Wheras the Ambassador telles me plainely but under many benedicites, that the K. necessitie is lesse then before, and sheweth me that Huntley and Errol have given cau- tion to depart the contrey, and that Bothwell is also going. And thus I have found a Rowland to oppose against Oliver: and one Ambassador against an other.
