After owr hartie commendacions. Wheras direction was given unto Sir Nicholas Parker knight to goe into Bryttaine with his companie of horse wherein hee dothe make some excuse and delaye by reason the Count Morice did send for /stay/ him for some cause of Service, wee have by her majesties expresse order commaunded him againe to put him selfe in a Readynes all excuses and delayes sett a parte for that purpose And to the ende there bee no default made, wee have thought good also to Require yow to give him the lyke straight chardge and to see yt parformed. And yf any of his company be wantinge that the same maie be supplied out of the companie of Sir John Poley, wherein (yf occacion serve) yow maie let the States or the Count Morice to understand her Majesties meanynge not to alter her former determy- nacion. And yf there be any of his Companie that are maryed in those partes beinge contrary to soche order as hathe ben by us taken for Retaynynge nowe in those Bandes that have taken wyves there, yow shall give direction to Sir Thomas Sherleyes deputie to make staie of soche Intertaynment as may be due unto them and hereafter to make them no further allowaunce.
