Mr. Euelyn Gaue an account of



The President Related an accident of one in Hamshire who being very much
troubled wth. a canine Appetite ^ /&/ his wife wth a designe of Poysoning him -
by giuing him arsenick had making him very violently to vomit, was
thereby Cured of Both.
Dr. Gale Returned the Book which Dr. Wallis had borrowed, and it was
Deliuered to mr. Perry.
vpon Discoursing of the Comet. The President Obserued that there were
two comets and that the Last was differing from the first, that he had
from mr Flamsteads obseruations traced the way of it, and found
it to agree wth. his Hypothesis that a comets moue in streight lines
equall spaces in equall times, but not according to Keplers Hypothesis
mr Hooke gaue an account that he spoken wth. Mr Loghan concerning the
grauing of Sigr Malpighius his Picture, and that he had seen it and
was willing to vndertake it.
vpon this ocassion Dr. Gale moued that the Duke of norfolks Picture
might be prefixt before the Catalogue of the Library now printing

A letter of mr. Iustell to mr. Hooke Dated from Paris Ian
was read. as also a small account or an Ephemerides of the Late Co
met. It was Desired that mr. Hooke should Returne the societys thanks
to mr. Iustell and to send him mr. Boyles book of the Phosphoros
and mr. Pappins booke of the new Digester vpon the societys
account.
mr. Aston Returned Sangallo Delle Zanzane and gaue an account
that there was very little in it new but his Deigne was only to
shew that Gnats were not produced out of the mud of water but
from Eggs. that most of his obseruations were the same wth. those
published by mr Hooke in his micrographia & swammerdam in his
booke of Insects.

The seuerall bookes of Malpighius present being now either sticht or
bound seuerall of them were recommended to seuerall of the members
present to pervse & giue an account of them to the society.
