neither the President nor vicepresidts being there Sr. Iohn Hoskins
was Desired to take the chair

The minutes taken the Last Day were Read wherevpon Dr. Crone
was Desired to write to mr Townly & mr Coll Sharp to make obseruations
of the Barometer at the same time when he made them here
which he promised to Doe. The same also moued that there might
be a thermometer sent to Collonell Sharp to obserue the changes
also of the heat & cold by that Instrument, mr Hunt was therevpon
orderd to make one
mr. Hooke Presented two bookes he had Receiued from Sr
Robert Southwell for the Society. vizt. vivianus De maxi
mis & minimis. and the other De Duplicatione Cubj:
Thanks were orderd to be Returned to Sr. Rob: Southwell for
this his Present.
mr. Aubery Presented a Book in 8. intituled Thomae Hobbes
Angli Malmesburiensis Philosophj Vita. thanks were -
giuen /him/ for his present.
mr. Hooke Produced a ^ /large/ Letter which he had Lately Receiued
from Leuwenhook. it was written in Lowdutch but the contents
of the seuerall heads he read in an abtract. It was Desired
that the Letter should be translated & answered.
mr. Perry brought in /shewed/ a Catalogue of mr. Ents Bookes
Presented to the Society It was Desired that it should be
fairly written out to Lye in the Library.
