Iuly the 29 80.

mr. Henshaw the vice Prest. tooke the chair

The minutes of the 22th. were Read, wherevpon the matter of Filtration
and Rising of Liquors in Small pipes was Debated and an account
was Giuen of the Expts. the Last meeting and wherein the Deficiency
of them appeard namely first from the Imperfect Exhaustion &
secondly from the vncertainty of the Rising of the same Liquor
in the same pipe at seuerall times.
Herevpon mr. Henshaw moued that there might be two Experimts
further tryd namely first whether a liquor will rise in vacuo
in those small pipes and secondly whether it will filtrate either throug[h]
a cloth or a small syphon for that he conceiued if It was found to
doe either or both of those It could not be sayd to Receiue it moti
on from the Different pressure of the Air.

Dr. King Related that he had obserued 6 or 7 sort of animalls 1000
of any of which were Lesse than a Globule of blood.

mr. warrens way of Preseruing Dead bodys being further Discoursed
of mr. Henshaw conceiued that spices were the best Ingredients of a pow
der for doing it as of Pepper cloves mace &c. He further added
that he was sure that the child presented his maity by Dr. warner many
years since was preserued in a pickle And not in Spirit of wine, that
the Glasse was stopt wth. wax, and that noe wax ^ /stopper/ would conteine vinous
spirits.-
A Bill of mr. Dauys the Ioyner was produced by mr. Hunt for the
making of 8 Double Presses at 25sh p'presse. in all accounting to 10ll
It was the Societys Desire it should be payd -
It being late And most of the Society being either gone or Going
into the Country the Society adiourned their /vsuall/ meetings till far
ther summons should be sent by the President or vice president.
