Sr. Christopher Wren Vice Pt tooke the chair

The minutes of the Last meeting were Read wherevpon mr Henshaw gaue an account
that he had obserued an Infinite quantity of other yet smaller animalls in Ginger
water, and that he conceiued it was much more prolifick than pepper water. and
that it had beside a great number of very large ones wch appeard soe large
that he conceiued their Leggs finns or parts for motion would be seen if
they had any, and therefore conceiud they had none -
Sr. Chr: Wren conceiued that the reason why they were not visible was the
swiftnesse of their motion.
It was Desired that these small creatures might be examined wth the best microscope
could be made to see if any further Discouery could be made of their way
of mouing. Dr. Croon acquainted the Society tht mr. Mellin had promied to
fitt vp one of his best microscopes for that purpose - -/
Dr. King related that he had obserued the motion of these creatures among
the Globules of Blood, by mixing a little blood wth pepper water.
Sr. R Redding affirmed he had seen multitudes of them in water in wch
osiers had tryed been steepd.

Dr. Gale Read part of a Letter from Dr. Bohn and brought in 7 little
tracts of Philosophicall matters sent by him to the Society.

and to send him the Late book of mr. Boyle as also that of
Dr Tison both in queres

Dr. Crone Gaue an account of mr. Warrens way of Preseruing
bodys by a powder. He was Desired to bring him to the Society
& to Preuaile wth. him to shew here the Expt. which he promised
to indeavour to Doe _ twas supposed that the . . cheif ingrediens
of e Powder was somewt of vitrioll -

Sr. Christopher Wren wth. the approbation of the Society signed a bill
for the table and Inscription set vp in the Long gallery -
There were two seuerall Expts. tryd.
The first was of the extraordinary strong sound of a Glasse funnell.
