vpon the mention of the specifique grauity of a Crown peice. mr
Collins affirmed that there was noe mixture of tin or Lead in
the Siluer minted in the Tower, But that the standerd Siluer
was a mixture of 222 parts of fine Siluer & 18 of Copper.
that is .37. siluer & 3 copper. or almot a twelf part of copper.

Mr Pouey moued that mr. Slingsby the master of the of the mint might
be Desired to Informe the society more particularly of this
matter, And it was Desired that mr. Pouey would speak to him
for that purpose. It was Desired also that mr. Hoare contro
ler of the mint might also be spoken to for the same account

The Expts for Tuesday next propounded by mr Hooke were
appointed to be tryalls vpon the --- mixtures of Iron &
tin & Iron & Lead.

Dr Gale shewed an Inscription for the Library to be done
wth. Letters of Gold vpon a Blew Ground which was appro
ved of and orderd to be done.

Dr. Tison Read his account of the anatomicall obseruations he
had made about hair found &c found in the Insside of a
wooman. and Presented the Substances in a box which were
Deliuerd to m[r Hunt for the Repository and the account was or
derd to be Registred

It was Desired mr Leuwenhoeks Large Letter translated by
mr Hooke should be Read the next Day.
