Extract of a Learned Gents Letter
from Nurmburg 24r Ianuar. 1680.

We have nothing curious heer now, worth imparting,
unlesse you will permit a late accident in this Town to
supply the Defect, viz. That there being an Occasion to
enlarge a Burrial-Vault in one of or Church-yards; The
workmen lighted upon a Corps, buried there twentie &
odde yeares agoe, Which, the Coffin being open'd, did
appeare, to be all over, from top to toe (or, from the Head
to the Soles of the feet, thick overgrown with Hair, of a
red Colour, & to the touch, at first soft & Smooth, but
after it was a little while exposed to the air, much harder
& rougher than Bristles.
