Feb. 2d. 1680. The seuerall weights of Lead and Tin
and A mixture made of equall parts of Lead and tin
melted together were examined and the proportion taken

as followeth
by Mr Hill.
Dr. Crone
Mr Hooke
Lead weighed in the air was 3450 graines
Tin weighed in the Air was 3450 graines
Lead weighed in water was 3138 graines
Tin weighed in Water was 2988 graines


The aforesaid equall parts of Lead & tin being melted into
one masse in a Crucible and being then examined we
found That This mixture weighed in Air was 6876 gr.
       The same weighed in Water was 6078 gr.
whence the specifique weight of the metall compared
wth water was 8 82/113.

The specifique weight of Lead as aboue 11 6/104
--------------------- of Tin --------- 7 31/66
whence the specifique weight of tin Lead
this mixture should haue been -- 9 1813/6804
