Happy New Year to our students! Welcome back to what will be another fantastic semester.

We reconvene on Monday 11th January. For MA/MRes students, you are required to submit your assessments by no later than 4pm at the English office in the Arts Building, together with the relevant documentation (available from said office).

Congratulations to Ariel Franklin-Hudson, Daisy Hildyard and William Tosh who graduated – all with Distinction – on the 8th December 2009. We are delighted to welcome Daisy and Will back to CELL to pursue their doctoral studies, and wish Ariel success with her grad school applications back in the US. Well done!

This week we will be working on your tentative choices of material for your course assignment. If you can, bring some material, or photographs of material, with you, so that we can all look at it together.
