Pete graduated from Oxford in 2005 with a BA in English, and took the CELL Renaissance MA in 2008-09. His AHRC-funded PhD focuses on the India Office Records – the amalgamated archive of the East India Company and its successor the India Office – with reference to empire, mercantilism and the historiography of trauma.
