Mark studied for the MA at CELL in 2009-2010 in which he gained a distinction. He wrote his dissertation on the seventeenth century scientist Henry Power, who wrote the first book written in English on microscopy, 'Experimental Philosophy'.

Mark works as a librarian and his first book on Channel Island history, folklore and cider is being published by The History Press in July 2012.
