Jodie Nesling graduated with BA English at Queen Mary in 2009. After studying a range of periods, from Chaucer to Postcolonial literatures she developed an interest in Early Modern and Renaissance Studies: primarily through the module 'Shakespeare: the play, the word and the book.' Research interests include the periodical in London, of which her dissertation partly discussed John Dunton and the Athenian Mercury. Other areas include popular culture in Elizabethan and Stuart London and Restoration politics.
