Jessica Masters

Jessica graduated in 2008 with her BA degree in English Language & Literature with a minor in Writing from Grand Valley State University in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Some of her undergraduate courses included studies in poetry, classical drama, studies in English renaissance and literary theory. Following her graduation in 2008, Jessica spent 2 years working as an administrative assistant in the School of Health Professions at Davenport University in Grand Rapids, Michigan before joining the MA course of Renaissance and Early Modern Studies in 2010-2011.

Jessica's interests vary, but she is particularly focused on the ideas of 'virtue' and 'goodness' for both men and women in Renaissance England. She is currently a 2011 MA graduate from Queen Mary University of London's Renaissance and Early Modern Studies programme. Her MA dissertation was supervised by Kevin Sharpe and focused on the demise of chivalry in the writings of Henry VIII.
