
Gulruba Begum graduated with BA (Hons) English at the University of Greenwich in 2009. The courses studied included, The Literature of the Gothic, Postcolonial Studies, Romanticism and the Canon and Jungian Studies. Having studied contemporary literatures, Gulruba's interest shifted to the early modern period and studied the MA Renaissance and Early Modern Studies at QMUL. Her dissertation embarked upon the complexities of an early modern mother, with her thesis entitled as, “The Maternal Closet of Alice Thornton: Hidden Anxieties of a Seventeenth-century Mother.” Gulruba is currently focusing upon writing her own book and provides mentoring for students who study English related subjects at University of Westminster and University of Greenwich.
