r Hooke Acquainted the Society with the account he had procured from M
r whitehead the mathematicall Instrument-maker of the Extraordinary Loadstone
which he had Sould to m

That the said Loadstone was very neer of a cubicall forme each side of which -
was very neer one inch & an half in length.
That the said cubicall stone was in weight 9 ounces and very neer 3 penny weight

Haberdupoi
se weight of Iron.
That a Souldiers Beyanett by the strength of the touch of it took vp & susteined
