mr Henshaw the vice Prest. tooke the chair.
mr. Henshaw produced some peices of stones which see
were made vp of seuerall sorts of small pebbles which -
were all cemented together by a petrifyed substance
as hard as the Pebbles themselues. thes seemed to be of
the same kind wth. some produced by Dr. Plott cutt into
the haft of a knife and well polisht. which looked as
beautiful as any orientall Agate.

The members of the Society hauing been summoned to meet this
Day at Gresham Colledge in order to the chusing the Councell
President treasurer & secretarys for the Ensuing year there
met to the number of thirty three
Sr. Ioseph Williamson the Prest. tooke the chair
mr. Hooke Read the . . . Report of the Comtee. appointed
to Audite the Accounts of mr. Hill for the preceding year
which was as followeth -

After which seuerall candidates formerly propounded were ballotted &
elected. 1st. Francis Astin esq. propounded by Dr. Ed: Brown. 28. votes, noe ^ /negatiue/
2ly. Dr. Mayow. propounded by mr Hooke. Elected by 27. votes one negatiue
3. mr. Dauid Hannisius propounded by mr Theod: Haake elected by 28. noe. nega
4. Iohn van de Bemde esq by the same - elected by 28. noe negatiue
5. mr. Willm. Perry propounded by Dr. Mapletoft. elected by 29.
mr. Astin mr Bemde & mr Perry. subscribing were admitted -
6. mr. Dethlevius Cluverius propounded by mr. Haak elected by 29
8. mr. Hally by Edmund Hally formerly propounded by Sr. Ionas more. Elected by 31
9. mr Ioseph Moxon propounded by mr George Ent Elected by 27. 4 negatiues he was
/admitted/ after wch. the same Read the Stautes for the manner of
proceeding in the election of the members of the councell
The President treasurer & secretarys. then the society
proceeding to the work it self. mr. Herbert ^ /and mr Aubery/ being first chosen
to Inspect the proceedings of the secretarys. these were con
tinued in the councell.
