May it please your good L. After I had written and sent away my former, of the 9 of this moneth, this letter of the states was brought unto me by their Greffier: whiche is their answear to her Majesties letter of the 21 of December and to my Proposition to the same /upon it/. Because I have written of these affaires, at sufficient length already, and likewi[[se]] of those maters, that were committed to Sir John Norreis, I have nothing by this bearer to adverti[[se]] further, but that we have intelligence from di- vers quarters, that the Emperors Ambassadors are at Andwerp, and minde to send hither for a passeport to come to /a/ Treatie with the states. The[[re]] is also advertisment given, that the Spaniard[[s]] are mutined in the land of Liege, for want of pay. Whiche will be some stoppe to the Enemies attemptes: especially if it prove, as we are also informed, that in sundrie other places they are bent to doe the like. And thus for this present I take my humble leave. From the Hage February 11 1590. Your L. most humbly bounden Tho.
