May it please your good L. After I had written and sent away my former, of the 9 of this moneth, this letter of the states was brought unto me by their Greffier: whiche is their answear to her Majesties letter of the 21 of December and to my Propo- sicion upon it. Because I have written of those affaires already, at sufficient length, and like- wise of the rest, that was committed to Sir John Norreis, I have nothing by this bearer to advertise further, but that we have intelligence from divers quarters, that the Emperors Ambassadors are at Andwerp, and will send hither for a Passeport, to come to a Treatie with the states. There is also advertisment given, that the Spaniardes are mutined in the Lande of Liege, for want of pay: which will be some stoppe to the Enemies attemptes: especially if it prove, as we are also informed, that in sundrie other places they are bent to doe the like.
