After my vearie hartie Commendacions: forasmuchas this Bearer Master Richard Allen hir Majesties serrvaunt, and well knowen unto yowe having latelie been in thes Cuntries, & desirous to spend his time in sum place theare of hir Majesties serrvice, whearof for that presentlie for that he cannot be placed in anie: he hath required my lettres to yowe, that ar the first avoidance of anie of the Commissioners of the Ministers appoin- ted for hir Majesties forces. He might be placed in the Rome soe to become voide: whearein for that I have noe dowbt but he will both honestlie and carefullie discharge his duetie withowt Corruption or frawde, having alwaies reputed him to be an honest gentlemen: I thearefore very hartely praie yowe, that when anie such Rome shall happen to become voide: yowe would be mindfull to place him thearein, for which I shall hartelie thanke yowe, and himself will alwaies be readie to acknowledge the same whearein yowe shall have Cawse to use him.
