After our verie hartie Commendacons. Whereas there remaineth at Horne a shippe belonging to Hubert Cornelison laden with Corne, beanes,dealebordes &c, which stale awaie from the Generalls in the Late Portugall voyage, without their privitie or Consent; which Corne was Carried out of this Realme, as appeareth by deposicions of Certein parsonnes taken before the Judg of Th'admiralty and other Commissioners by us appointed to exa- mine this Cause: We have thought good to praie and require yow assoone as Convenientlie you maie, to deale with the States of Holland and the Magistrates of the said towne of Horne that diligent inquirie maie be made of the quantitie and qualytie of the lading of the said shippe and where the same or anie parcell thereof is bestowed: and lykewise to sollicite them that it maie be sold to the uttermost value, that it maie not be corrupted or embesealed, and that the monney growing of the sale thereof maie be sequestred to salfe keeping, to be hereafter disbursed towards the satisfacion of the 44 shippes of the province which served in the said Portugall voyage, according as direccion shalbe given in that behalfe from the said Generalls.
