Sir. By theise inclosed you may percieve that one George [Bornstroi] a Captaine of those Countries pretending some great service done for h r Majestye hath bene a suitor heere for recompence. In which cause that you maye be through[ly] informed, I have sent you his Remonstraunce togeather wit[h] certaine Apostilles thereunto, and his acquittance for the recei[pt] of such sommes of monye as have beene bestowed upon him: whereby maye appeare that his rewarde from hir Majestye hath in all respectes beene sufficient for his service. Notwithstanding because the States to ease themselves of Charge have under hand directed him hither: yow maye likewise as you see occasion recommend him in generall termes back againe unto them, who first sett him on worcke, and from whome it seemeth he hath received nothing: whereas by hir Majestye he hath bene most bountifullye rewarded, whome yet the service did not principallye concerne. Referring you therefore to theise pieces hereinclosed, whereout you maye understand the particuler Course of this whole matter, I most hartelye committ you to god.
